The Wacky Pack® Kids' Birthday Club collects the minimal information needed to communicate with our registrants. All information is kept confidential and is not released to anyone for any purpose. SONIC owns the information collected on the Web Site and does not share the information with SONIC franchisees or their restaurants or vendors. Parents and guardians of kids who visit the Wacky Pack® Kids' Birthday Club portion of the www.sonicdrivein.com web site (referring to: sonickidsbirthdayclub@sonicdrivein.com) can be assured that any personal information provided to this site will be collected and maintained in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). This privacy policy explains how the information provided by our users will be collected, maintained, and used.
The Wacky Pack Kids' Birthday Club collects the child's e-mail address, birth date (including year), nickname, and a password upon enrollment. The Kids' Birthday Club uses the nickname and password created by the child to create and maintain the child's user account. The child's e-mail address is only used to send a newsletter on behalf of SONIC that may contain special promotional offers. The child's birthday information is used to personalize the child's experience on the site. A child's participation in an activity on the site will not be conditioned on requiring more personal information than is necessary to participate in that activity.
The Wacky Pack Kids' Birthday Club also requires and collects the parent's or guardian's e-mail address. Upon user registration, the parent or guardian receives an e-mail alerting them to their child's registration. At that time or any time thereafter, the parent or guardian may revoke their consent, refuse to allow us to further pursue and collect the child's personal information, and direct the Kids' Birthday Club to delete the child's information. The parent or guardian first must log on using the child's sign-in information and then de-select the opt-in check box within the child's account to unsubscribe from receiving e-mails. The parent or guardian may also e-mail sonickidsbirthdayclub@sonicdrivein.com to request their child be unsubscribed from the birthday club. The parent or guardian has the right to request and review the personal information collected from their child by sending an e-mail to sonickidsbirthdayclub@sonicdrivein.com. Note, however, that if the child's parent or guardian does not revoke consent, then the Kids' Birthday Club will use the child's information for the purposes described above.
