SONIC is more than a great place to grab a Footlong Quarter Pound Coney and a Cherry Limeade. Our heritage is not only about great food and friendly service but also being part of the community. It’s not just the right thing to do…it’s good business.
For more than 15 years, SONIC's community giving programs have been geared toward advancing education and educational opportunities for Oklahoma youth and the arts. To further extend our commitment to education, each fall SONIC conducts its largest annual fundraising effort supporting teacher’s projects across the nation—Limeades for Learning.
This award winning program is a national cause effort conducted in partnership with DonorsChoose.org that benefits teachers and students in local communities. Since its origin in 2009, we have donated over $2.7 million to teacher’s projects and made a difference in thousands of students’ lives.

SONIC believes in giving back to the communities that have helped make us successful. As a company that was founded in, and continues to be headquartered in, the great state of Oklahoma, giving from our corporate headquarters is concentrated on Oklahoma-based charity organizations. We recognize there are many worthy causes performing important work in our community. Unfortunately, we are unable to support every good cause and have elected to make the greatest impact by being very focused on efforts that support education and the arts within the state of Oklahoma.

Most SONIC Drive-Ins are franchisee owned and operated. This means that your local Drive-In may be owned by your neighbor down the street. Your local SONIC Drive-In operators don't consider community involvement a sales gimmick or a public relations ploy. They see it as a way to be a good neighbor, and as a way to have a positive impact on their community.
Their efforts may include awards to encourage young kids to read, incentives to keep older kids in school or blood drives to aid the local Red Cross chapter.
Please feel free to contact the manager of your local SONIC Drive-In to find out what programs he or she is supporting. While budget limitations make it impossible to support every worthy cause, your local SONIC is interested in learning about the work of your organization.
Your local SONIC Drive-In can be found using this website through the SONIC Locator.
